**** StanrefProHX Setup File 6/01/2008 ****

Read through this entire file before installing StanrefProHX.  StanrefProHX has certain operating system requirements that must be met before it can be installed!!!

This version will install itself into a unique folder on your computer. It is best to uninstall any previous versions of StanrefProHX before installing this one.  If you have saved phonebook entries, job runs, or custom refrigerant or fluid properties, copy the files phonebook.mdb, quotes.mdb, and cprops.mdb from your existing StanrefProHX installation folder to a temporary folder before deleting the existing version of StanrefProHX.  Once this version is installed, you can merge your old data into this version.

The StanrefProHX suite of software is comprised of CondenserPro and DxPro. The StanrefProHX programs are 32-bit Windows Programs that will run under the following operating systems:

• Windows 95:
• DCOM95 must be installed prior to installing this software
• Windows 98:
• DCOM98 must be installed prior to installing this software.
• Windows NT 4.0
• Service Pack 6a or higher must be installed prior to installing this software
• This software must be installed from an account that has local Administrator privileges.
• Windows 2000
• This software must be installed from an account that has local Administrator privileges.
• Windows Millenium (ME)
• This software has not been tested with Windows ME, although it should run without problems.
• Windows XP
• This software has been successfully run with Windows XP Professional.
• This software has not been tested with Windows XP Home edition, although it should run without problems.
• Installation of the MS Jet 4.0 Service Pack (discussed below) may be required.
• Windows Vista
• This software has not been tested with Windows Vista.

Note: All operating systems must have Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.1 or higher installed.

Note: StanrefProHX cannot be installed until the above conditions are met!!

You can run the utility program testos.exe that will check your operating system for potential problems.  It is highly recommended that you run this program before installing AcmePro. If testos.exe doesn't run and your operating system is Windows 95/98/ME, try the testos98.exe utility instead.

This software requires that several Microsoft Windows operating system components be installed on your computer.  These components are not included with the setup files because they are large and because these components are now included with most MS Windows computers.  These components are described below, along with links for downloading them, should you need to obtain them.

·        DCOM 95/98 (Windows 95/98 only).  DCOM must be installed before MDAC can be installed.  DCOM95 may be downloaded from Microsoft's website.  You might already have DCOM95 installed on your computer because many other software packages require it.  DCOM98 is usually installed as part of Windows 98 by default, but in some rare circumstances, DCOM98 is not installed.  The latest version of DCOM95 and DCOM98 can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/com/dcom/dcom98/download.asp.

·        MDAC and MS Jet (all versions of Windows).  If MDAC is not installed on your computer, you can download it from Microsoft at http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/mdac/default.aspx.   You might already have MDAC installed on your computer because many other software packages require it, and it is now part of newer Windows operating systems.  If your computer has MDAC 2.6 or higher and you are running Windows 95/98 or Windows NT 4.0, the test program may indicate that Jet 4.0 is missing, or you may encounter error "3633" when you start the AcmePro programs.   This error occurs because MDAC 2.6 and higher are missing some components required by AcmePro.   If this is the case, you will have to download and install the Microsoft Jet Database 4.0 service pack appropriate for your version of Windows.  This service pack can be found at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;829558

Additionally, Adobe Acrobat Reader must be installed in order to view the TXG and HSG dimensional drawings.  Please note that at this time, only a limited number of TXG (30-1, 50-1, 50-2, 60-1, 70-1, 100-1) and HSG (30, 50, 85, 100, 130) drawings are available.  Acrobat reader can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

When you have confirmed that your operating system meets the necessary requirements,
you can install StanrefProHX by  running the file Setup.exe

Please note! pop blocker must be turned off to run setup.exe remotely.
You may download and save the file to your PC and then run setup.exe

To uninstall StanrefProHX (these steps may vary slightly depending on your Windows version):

1. Click "Start", then "Settings", then "Control Panels".
2. Double-click "Add/Remove Programs".
3. Select the "StanrefProHX xx-xx-xxxx" program from the list.
4. Click the "Add/Remove..." button to remove the program.
5. StanrefProHX creates some files that the uninstall program cannot delete. After the uninstall program is completed, you can use the Explorer to delete the StanrefProHX program file folder manually. This folder is usually c:\Program Files\Standard Refirgeration\StanrefProHX xx-xx-xxxx, where xx-xx-xxxx is the program version date.

If you want to re-install this version of StanrefProHX, you must first remove the currently installed version by using the above procedure.

You should not attempt to run more than one instance of DxPro or CondenserPro at the same time.

If you run DxPro and CondenserPro simultaneously, you may not get the correct data on the TEMA specification sheet, as both programs share the same specsheet database.
