**** StanRefPro Setup File 01/04/2010 ****

Read through this entire file before installing StanRefPro. StanRefPro has certain operating system requirements that must be met before it can be installed!!!

This version will install itself into a unique folder on your computer. It is best to uninstall any previous versions of StanRefPro before installing this one. If you have saved phonebook entries, job runs, or custom refrigerant or fluid properties, copy the files phonebook.mdb, quotes.mdb, and cprops.mdb from your existing StanRefPro installation folder to a temporary folder before deleting the existing version of StanRefPro. Once this version is installed, you can merge your old data into this version.

The StanRefPro programs are 32-bit Windows Programs that will run under the following operating systems:

The following additional software is also required:

• Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.1 or higher and MS Jet 4.0 or higher.
  •  You might already have MDAC and Jet installed on your computer because many other software packages require it, and these are now included with most versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista. Even if MDAC is installed, you may encounter error "3633" when you start the StanRefPro programs. This error occurs because MDAC 2.6 and higher are missing some components required by StanRefPro. If this is the case, you will have to download and install the Microsoft Jet 4.0 service pack appropriate for your version of Windows.
  • MDAC is not included with this distribution because the setup files are very large, and generally not required.  If necessary, you can download MDAC and Jet from http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/mdac/default.aspx.
• Adobe Acrobat is required to view dimensional drawings for some product models.
• Latest service packs and updates for Windows Operating Systems.
  • If the installation distribution contains newer system files than those on your computer, you may receive warnings about older system files that cannot be replaced during installation.  You can ignore the warnings and proceed with installation, but there may be operational problems when you use the software.

When you have confirmed that your operating system meets the necessary requirements, you can install StanRefPro by running the file setup.exe.

To uninstall StanRefPro (these steps may vary slightly depending on your Windows version):

1. Click "Start", then "Settings", then "Control Panels".
2. Double-click "Add/Remove Programs".
3. Select the "StanRefPro xx-xx-xxxx " program from the list.
4. Click the "Add/Remove..." button to remove the program.
5. StanRefPro creates some files that the uninstall program cannot delete. After the uninstall program is completed, you can use the Explorer to delete the StanRefPro program file folder manually. This folder is usually c:\Program Files\StanRefPro xx-xx-xxxx, where xx-xx-xxxx is the program version date.

If you want to re-install this version of StanRefPro, you must first remove the currently installed version by using the above procedure.

You should not attempt to run more than one instance of DxPro or CondenserPro at the same time.

If you run DxPro and CondenserPro simultaneously, you may not get the correct data on the TEMA specification sheet, as both programs share the same specsheet database.
